Thousands of displaced residents in eastern Indonesia are currently enduring harsh outdoor conditions while awaiting essential humanitarian aid following a massive 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck early Saturday morning.
The powerful tremor left at least 53 people dead and more than 100 others injured, reducing homes and local infrastructure to rubble across the affected region.
53 fatalities have been confirmed with over 100 injured and hundreds of structures damaged or destroyed. Emergency personnel report that all affected individuals have been accounted for, with no current reports of missing persons under the rubble.
