The Trump administration has opened two new civil rights investigations into Harvard University, intensifying federal scrutiny of elite academic institutions. According to the U.S. Department of Education, the probes focus on alleged discrimination based on race, color, and national origin in Harvard’s policies and practices.

The move follows the Supreme Court’s 2023 ruling that struck down affirmative action in college admissions. Officials indicated the investigations aim to ensure universities comply with the new legal framework and uphold equal treatment standards.

Separately, allegations of antisemitism on campus are also under review. The report said concerns have been raised in recent years about hostility toward Jewish students, alongside broader claims of religious and cultural bias affecting multiple groups.

Harvard has previously stated its commitment to combating discrimination and fostering inclusion. However, the university has not responded to the latest inquiries, as reported by officials familiar with the matter.
