Top executives say artificial intelligence is more likely to enhance jobs than eliminate them, even as concerns about widespread job losses persist, as reported by Semafor.
Speaking at the Semafor World Economy conference, Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark rejected claims by CEO Dario Amodei that AI could push unemployment to 20%. Clark argued such outcomes would depend on policy choices and societal response, not just technology.

According to the report, business leaders are already adapting. Gallup CEO Jon Clifton said about half of U.S. workers use AI, though only 13% rely on it daily. Plume CEO Daniel Herscovici said AI boosts productivity rather than reducing workloads.
Infosys CEO Salil Parekh emphasized reskilling employees to work alongside AI tools. Clark also noted that future workers must focus on critical thinking and interdisciplinary skills, not routine coding.
The report said AI disruption may reshape jobs, but leaders broadly expect augmentation, not mass displacement.
