President Donald Trump is convening his Cabinet at Camp David on Friday for the 13th Cabinet meeting of his second term, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

She described the gathering as a different experience for Cabinet members after an earlier meeting planned for the retreat in May was canceled because of bad weather.

The report said Trump has encouraged officials to keep presentations brief following previous Cabinet meetings that stretched for several hours.

Camp David, the 180-acre presidential retreat in Maryland, has served as a secure venue for presidential meetings and high-level discussions since the administration of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

According to the report, Trump visited Camp David frequently during his first term but has made fewer trips during his second, most recently on Father's Day in June.

Camp David has long played a central role in American diplomacy, most notably as the site of the 1978 Camp David Accords brokered under President Jimmy Carter.
