Former Portugal football star Luis Figo has joined growing calls for FIFA President Gianni Infantino to step down following controversy over a proposed sale of a minority stake in the governing body.
According to the report, Infantino convened emergency meetings with senior FIFA officials in Morocco after abandoning the proposal in the face of widespread opposition.
The report said FIFA withdrew plans to sell an estimated £3.1 billion stake linked to World Cup revenues after criticism from football associations and threats of a boycott.
The decision was followed by the resignation of senior adviser Carlos Cordeiro, further intensifying scrutiny of FIFA's leadership.
FIFA's Chief of Global Football Development, Arsène Wenger, described the withdrawal of the proposal as necessary.
According to the report, UEFA, CONCACAF and representatives from 91 national associations have called for Infantino's resignation. Under FIFA rules, 106 member associations would be required to remove the president from office.
