Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has criticized President Donald Trump over his approach to Russia, describing it as “painful” when Washington appears to side with Moscow.
Speaking to Piers Morgan Uncensored on October 14, Zelenskyy questioned Trump’s reported decision to lift sanctions on Russian diesel exports and his suggestion that Ukraine should replace its leader. Zelenskyy said he could accept a neutral position from Washington but expected consistency in its approach to both sides.
“If you are in the middle, you have to stay in the middle,” he said.
His remarks came as he met British Prime Minister Andy Burnham in London, seeking continued international support amid growing diplomatic tensions with the Trump administration.
