President Donald Trump will hold bilateral meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on the sidelines of the G7 leaders summit in Canada, a White House official confirmed.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said he plans to discuss potential weapons purchases during his meeting with Trump. Speaking at a news conference in Vienna, he said Ukraine is ready to buy a new defense package and hopes to secure U.S. support.

Before the G7 sessions begin in Alberta, Trump will also meet Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. According to NBC News, the meeting follows recent tensions over trade, though the two leaders held a cordial discussion in Washington last month.

World leaders are expected to focus on pressing international issues, including security and economic cooperation, during the summit. The meetings mark Trump’s first major multilateral engagement since his return to the White House in January.
