According to CBS News correspondent Weijia Jiang, as reported on X, the Trump administration will begin sending letters in the next two to three weeks to around 150 countries outlining how much they will be expected to pay under new trade terms

Trump claimed that dozens of countries are eager to strike deals, but “it’s not possible to meet the number of people that want to see us,” according to the Financial Times,

The administration has temporarily reduced many tariffs announced on April 2 to 10 percent for a 90-day period to allow room for negotiations. Recent deals with the UK and China have included mutual tariff relief, and talks are ongoing with the EU, Japan, India, and others. Trump has framed the effort as part of his plan to make trade “fair and reciprocal.”
