Andy Burnham has officially taken office as the United Kingdom's Prime Minister, succeeding Sir Keir Starmer following his resignation last month.
According to the report, Burnham is expected to deliver his first address outside 10 Downing Street after formally assuming office, marking the beginning of a new phase for the Labour government.
The report said Burnham's appointment follows Labour's poor performance in recent local elections, which led to Starmer's resignation.
According to the report, Burnham also intends to decentralize decision-making by establishing a "No 10 North" base in Manchester as part of a broader devolution agenda.
His government plans to introduce a 10-year strategy focused on early investment, social care reform, and addressing long-term economic challenges across the United Kingdom, while opposition leaders have called for greater clarity on his policy agenda.
