Anthropic recorded a $104 billion net loss for the nine-month period, largely attributed to changes in the valuation of convertible notes and derivative liabilities.

Anthropic reported $33.24 billion in revenue for the first nine months of 2026, marking a roughly 1,200% increase from the previous year, according to its amended filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The artificial intelligence company generated approximately $17 billion in third-quarter revenue. However, quarterly growth slowed to 47%, compared with 144% in the second quarter.

The filing also disclosed $895.4 billion in combined purchase commitments and lease agreements, largely tied to computing capacity and infrastructure. Spending on these resources increased 329% year-on-year.

The disclosures come as Anthropic prepares for a potential initial public offering. Its financial outlook faces scrutiny amid concerns about rising data centre costs, financing pressures and the ability of technology providers to meet growing demand for AI computing capacity.
