According to the report, Apple has introduced AI features across devices but lacks a clear long-term AI roadmap. Ternus, known for his hardware expertise, is expected to integrate AI tightly with Apple’s devices, leveraging its custom chips and ecosystem.
Analysts told CNBC that Apple may focus on hardware-led AI innovation rather than competing directly in software. The company is also exploring new AI-driven products, including smart glasses and advanced wearables.
Experts said Ternus must deliver both product innovation and a clear AI strategy to sustain Apple’s leadership.
