Bank of America Vice President Killed In Times Square Stabbing

A 68-year-old man was also injured in the attack. Cisneros had previously come to the attention of the NYPD in 2018 and 2019.

Bank of America vice president Erin Piacenti was fatally stabbed in Times Square on Monday, while police shot and killed the suspect after she allegedly advanced toward officers carrying two knives.

The incident began near West 41st Street when Pamela Cisneros allegedly stabbed a man leaving a subway station. Police said Cisneros refused repeated orders to drop her weapons during a four-minute standoff. Officers used Tasers, but they were ineffective.

A 68-year-old man was also injured in the attack. Cisneros had previously come to the attention of the NYPD in 2018 and 2019.

Piacenti, 32, was a New Jersey resident and 2016 University of Pennsylvania graduate. Bank of America expressed shock over her death; she had celebrated her second wedding anniversary earlier this month.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani said police body-camera footage captured the incident. The NYPD Force Investigation Division is investigating the shooting, with footage expected to be released publicly.
