President Joe Biden has publicly addressed his prostate cancer diagnosis for the first time, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support. The 82-year-old wrote on social media Monday:

Biden’s office revealed Sunday that he was diagnosed with a form of prostate cancer after recent urinary symptoms which led to further examination. The cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5), has metastasized to his bones.
Despite the seriousness of the diagnosis, his office said the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, making it more responsive to treatment. The president and his family are currently reviewing treatment options as he continues to carry out his duties. President Donald Trump also weighed in with a warm message on Truth Social:
