China issued a warning Monday, vowing to retaliate against any country that undermines its interests by cooperating with U.S. trade strategies. The statement comes amid escalating tensions in the ongoing U.S.-China trade war, which is increasingly drawing in other nations.

The warning follows reports that the Trump administration plans to use tariff negotiations to pressure allies to curb their economic ties with China. While the U.S. paused new tariffs on other countries for 90 days, it has raised duties on Chinese goods to 145%.

“China firmly opposes any party reaching a deal at the expense of China’s interests,” said the Ministry of Commerce, promising reciprocal countermeasures if needed. Beijing criticized Washington’s approach as “unilateral bullying” and warned that global trade could devolve into a “law of the jungle.”
