Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi will visit China this week for talks with Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, days before a planned visit by President Donald Trump.
According to Beijing, the discussions will focus on the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel. The report said Araghchi’s trip is part of a wider diplomatic push, following visits to Russia, Oman and Pakistan, to seek support and reduce tensions.

China has repeatedly called for a ceasefire and freedom of navigation, while maintaining support for Iran’s sovereignty. Meanwhile, global markets remain unsettled as disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz continue.
U.S. officials have urged China to pressure Tehran to reopen the waterway. At the same time, tensions between Washington and Beijing have intensified over sanctions, oil trade and security concerns linked to the conflict.
