China's Foreign Minister Begins Nordic Tour In Denmark

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi began his Nordic diplomatic tour with a meeting in Copenhagen on Thursday with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and improving relations between China and the European Union.

The visit marks the first stop in Wang's broader engagement with Nordic countries.

During the discussions, Wang expressed hope that Denmark would play a constructive role in promoting stable and healthy EU-China relations.

He also encouraged greater investment by Danish businesses in China and highlighted opportunities to expand cooperation in science and technology, green shipping, healthcare and tourism.

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Rasmussen welcomed the continued development of trade and environmental cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides acknowledged the importance of maintaining dialogue and deepening economic ties despite broader geopolitical challenges affecting relations between China and Europe.
