President Donald Trump returned to the White House today and is scheduled to deliver remarks at 4 p.m. EST. He is also expected to sign a piece of legislation earlier in the day, though details of the bill remain undisclosed.

On social media, Trump reiterated that the long-signaled reciprocal tariff measures will take effect on August 1, with no delay.

“The August first deadline is the August first deadline — it stands strong, and will not be extended. A big day for America!!!” he posted on Truth Social.

The comment reinforces Trump’s hardline stance as the administration moves to impose tariffs on countries like India and Russia. With trade tensions running high, the August 1 date is shaping up to be a pivotal moment in U.S. trade and foreign policy.
