A senior Justice Department official will meet today with convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, ABC News reported, as part of the Trump administration’s renewed effort to uncover the full scope of the Epstein scandal.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is expected to speak with Maxwell at the Florida prison where she is serving a 20-year sentence.
Justice demands courage. For the first time, the Department of Justice is reaching out to Ghislaine Maxwell to ask: what do you know? At @AGPamBondi’s direction, I’ve contacted her counsel. I intend to meet with her soon. No one is above the law—and no lead is off-limits. https://t.co/3IZh9viI7i

“If Ghislaine Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and DOJ will hear what she has to say,” Blanche said, per a statement shared by Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Maxwell’s attorney has confirmed she intends to “testify truthfully,” and her brother claims she is preparing “new evidence.”

But skepticism remains. Speaker Mike Johnson questioned her credibility, citing past DOJ characterizations of her as “a pervasive liar.” Some have also noted the possibility that Maxwell is seeking clemency from President Trump in exchange for cooperation.
