Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is scheduled to testify Wednesday before the House Oversight Committee as part of its ongoing investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his network of high-profile associates.

According to CBS News, Lutnick’s closed-door deposition is voluntary and comes after the release of millions of pages of documents tied to Epstein. The files reportedly show that Lutnick and Epstein remained connected through business dealings as recently as 2014 through an advertising company called Adfin.

The report also said Lutnick, his wife, and children visited Epstein’s private island, Little St. James, in 2012. An undated photograph from the files allegedly shows Lutnick alongside Epstein on the island.

Lutnick previously claimed he ended contact with Epstein in 2005. However, records cited in the investigation indicate the two exchanged emails as late as 2018 regarding business matters.

The committee has also questioned several prominent figures, including former President Bill Clinton and businessman Les Wexner.
