Across Europe’s political spectrum, leaders from the left and right are striking a tougher stance on undocumented migrants, often rolling back protections to make it easier to deport them.

Denmark’s “zero” refugee policy is fast becoming a model for other EU countries looking to enshrine new laws so that asylum seekers can be deported to third countries.
