Federal authorities are searching for 40-year-old Elpidio Reyna of Compton, California, who has been charged with assaulting federal officers during a protest in Los Angeles over the weekend.

The FBI says Reyna threw large rocks at vehicles carrying federal officials on Saturday as they left a command post in Paramount. Video footage shared by U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli on X shows Reyna striking at least seven cars with brick stones while other protesters cheered.

Reyna faces up to eight years in prison if convicted. A $50,000 reward has been offered for information leading to his arrest.

Protests erupted Friday following the arrest of more than 40 individuals by immigration authorities. Demonstrators blocked a major freeway and torched self-driving cars, prompting police to deploy tear gas and rubber bullets.

Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed the FBI had identified Reyna and warned, “If you assault a federal officer, we’re coming after you.”
