President Donald Trump publicly dismissed Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s testimony on Iran’s nuclear program this week, saying, “I don’t care what she said,” when asked about her remarks.
Gabbard had testified in March that U.S. intelligence agencies assess Iran is not actively building a nuclear weapon and that its Supreme Leader has not reauthorized the program suspended in 2003.
Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, just two and a half months ago testified under oath, saying this:

Following Trump’s comments, Gabbard attempted damage control, telling CNN, “President Trump was saying the same thing that I said,” and claiming the media misconstrued her testimony. Her office referred reporters to those remarks.
However, Trump told reporters Iran is “very close” to developing a nuclear weapon, contradicting his intelligence chief’s assessment.
