The Trump White House is investigating attempts to impersonate Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, a top aide to President Donald Trump.

According to CNN and The Wall Street Journal, prominent lawmakers, CEOs, and governors received messages from someone pretending to be Wiles. A senior White House official believes the imposter may have hacked her personal phone and targeted contacts from it.

Suspicious recipients contacted the White House, triggering the ongoing investigation. The FBI had recently warned about AI-powered impersonation scams targeting government officials.

Wiles, Trump’s longtime adviser and 2024 campaign manager, declined to comment. Wiles is the first woman to serve as Trump’s chief of staff and is known for her tight control over Oval Office access and for running a disciplined campaign that helped Trump return to power in 2024.
