Indian PM Modi To visit France, Slovakia From June 13-18

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a six-day visit to France and Slovakia on June 13, combining participation in the G7 Summit with high-level bilateral engagements aimed at expanding India’s strategic, economic, and technology partnerships across Europe.

The visit will start in France, where Modi will join French President Emmanuel Macron in Nice to inaugurate the ‘Bharat Innovates’ event.

The initiative is expected to deepen cooperation between Indian and French technology companies, startups, investors, and innovation ecosystems under the countries’ Special Global Strategic Partnership.

Modi will also attend the G7 Summit in Evian, where discussions are expected to focus on artificial intelligence, innovation, and sustainable economic growth.

His participation will provide an opportunity to highlight India’s perspectives on key global challenges and reinforce its role as a leading voice of the Global South.

The Indian Prime Minister will then travel to Slovakia from June 14 to 16, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country since its establishment in 1993.

Talks with Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico are expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in trade, technology, and other strategic sectors.

The tour will conclude in Paris, where Modi will attend the VivaTech Summit, Europe’s largest technology and startup event, with the goal of fostering new partnerships between Indian and European innovators.
