Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps vowed to "punish the aggressor" after the United States launched a large-scale wave of retaliatory strikes against military targets across Iran, according to the report.

The report said U.S. Central Command targeted dozens of IRGC command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal defense positions and maritime infrastructure after Iran fired ballistic missiles at American forces in the region.

The missiles were intercepted, while Jordan said it also shot down several projectiles crossing its airspace.

According to the report, President Donald Trump warned hours before the operation that the United States would strike Iran forcefully. Iran responded by asserting full control over the Strait of Hormuz and warning that countries assisting Washington could face retaliation.

The report said the renewed conflict has intensified concerns over regional security, disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and pushed oil prices sharply higher.

Analysts warned that prospects for a quick diplomatic breakthrough have weakened as military tensions continue to escalate across the Middle East.
