Iran has unveiled a massive billboard in Tehran's Enghelab Square depicting US President Donald Trump behind bars, accompanied by a threat against his life, intensifying the country's anti-American messaging.
The display follows the US-Israeli war against Iran, which began on February 28, 2026, and resulted in the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Anti-Trump imagery has since appeared across the Iranian capital.
An exhibition at Tajrish Square features paintings mocking Trump, including an adaptation of Belgian surrealist artist René Magritte's famous work, alongside an actor impersonating the president inside a mock prison cell.
State-sponsored murals and billboards have been a longstanding feature of Iranian public spaces since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, frequently conveying political messages against the United States and its allies.
