We consider a household job sensitive if at least one family member is actively seeking full-time employment (job seekers) or if the family is concerned that one of its members will be laid off within the next year (concerned).
By these measures, 53% of U.S. households are currently job sensitive, according to the Investor's Business Daily/TIPP Poll completed in late July (designated as August data). Job sensitivity in August did not change from its 53% in July.
