CNN reported that videos shared on social media showed debris falling from the tower, along with what appeared to be the aircraft's tail section. Images also showed a damaged taxi with a shattered window.

A CNN journalist at the scene witnessed the evacuation of the building as firefighters, police officers and ambulances responded.

Authorities had not officially commented at the time of publication. According to CNN, online images suggested the aircraft was a domestically manufactured Sunward SA 60L Aurora operated by a local aviation company.

Unverified flight data reportedly indicated the aircraft deviated sharply from its expected route before the crash. The report also noted Beijing has enforced strict restrictions on drone activity since May.
