Prediction market platform Polymarket is in discussions to raise fresh capital at a valuation exceeding $20 billion, according to a person familiar with the matter, as reported by CNBC. Bloomberg first reported the fundraising talks.
The potential valuation follows strong business growth after Polymarket launched its regulated U.S. exchange in May. The company told CNBC in June that its annualized revenue had climbed well above $1 billion.
The report said prediction market platforms continue to attract investor interest while remaining privately held. Rival Kalshi was valued at $22 billion in May and is reportedly pursuing a $40 billion valuation.
According to Dune Analytics data cited by CNBC, Polymarket's U.S. and international platforms are generating more than $250 million in combined daily notional trading volume.
