US soldiers seriously wounded in an Iranian drone strike in Kuwait say they were failed by the military’s medical system, while families of those killed continue to seek answers seven months later.

The March 1, 2026, attack at Port Shuaiba during Operation Epic Fury killed six US soldiers, including Master Sergeant Noah Tietjens and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan of Iowa’s 103rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command.

Their families have expressed frustration over the lack of information about the attack and its aftermath.

Michelle Tietjens, the widow of Master Sergeant Tietjens, told The Associated Press that families remain frustrated and angry. Tina Marzan, Marzan’s wife, also criticized the lack of answers, particularly after President Donald Trump described the conflict as “small potatoes” on September 4.

The Army and Pentagon declined to comment on the investigation. Families continue raising children and seeking official explanations and closure.
