Strikes On Hospital In Israel, Iran’s Heavy Water Reactor

Iranian missiles made a direct hit on a hospital in southern Israel and residential buildings near Tel Aviv, while Israeli airstrikes targeted the Arak heavy water reactor and the Natanz nuclear facility.

Heavy water serves as a coolant in reactors but is also used in the production of plutonium, which is suitable for nuclear bombs. Iran agreed to restrict the use of the reactor under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, but following the withdrawal of the U.S. in President Trump’s first term, Iran moved the country closer to weapon production.

Miraculously, there are no reports of casualties in the missile strike on Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva. The hospital is adjacent to a military site, which Iran claims was the intended target.
