According to the report, Trump is scheduled to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan before holding talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. NATO leaders are also expected to discuss increasing military spending and strengthening support for Ukraine.

The summit follows Russia's latest missile and drone strikes on Kyiv, which Ukrainian officials said killed at least 11 people. Zelenskyy is expected to seek additional Western air defense assistance during the meetings.

Trump said he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to end the war, despite continued attacks. However, analysts cited by CNBC questioned whether there is evidence Moscow is prepared to negotiate. NATO allies are also under pressure to accelerate defense spending toward the alliance's 5% GDP target.
