President Donald Trump indicated Tuesday that he is open to sharing details of the recently announced U.S.-Iran agreement with Congress, as lawmakers from both parties seek greater clarity on the framework.
Speaking at the G7 summit in France, Trump said he would not object to sending the memorandum of understanding to Congress for review. However, he did not provide a timeline.
The report said the text of the agreement has not yet been released publicly. Trump has indicated that additional details could be unveiled on Friday, when an official signing ceremony is scheduled in Geneva.
Several lawmakers, including Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, have called for congressional scrutiny of the deal. Vice President JD Vance also acknowledged that significant details remain unresolved.
Trump further stated that shipping activity through the Strait of Hormuz is beginning to recover and that oil prices are easing as a result.
