More than half of the top 100 holders competing for seats at President Donald Trump’s upcoming meme coin dinner have used cryptocurrency exchanges that prohibit US customers, according to a CBS News analysis. The event is scheduled for November 22 at Trump National Golf Club near Washington, DC.
The dinner will accommodate 185 major $TRUMP token holders, with the top 29 receiving premium seating and access to a VIP reception with Trump.
The findings have renewed concerns about potential foreign access to the president. Trump earned at least $635 million in token-related royalties last year, according to his financial disclosure.
A White House official said the event was private and did not promise government action in exchange for attendance.
