The Trump administration is moving to cancel all remaining federal contracts with Harvard University, worth roughly $100 million, as part of its escalating pressure campaign against elite academic institutions, two senior officials told CNN, Tuesday.
A letter from the General Services Administration urges agencies to terminate agreements with Harvard that fail to meet federal “standards.” The move comes after the university rejected White House demands on governance, curriculum, and transparency regarding foreign students.
Harvard President Alan Garber responded to President Trump’s threat to revoke the school’s tax-exempt status, saying doing so would be "highly illegal" and "destructive."

The New York Times reports this latest cut adds to $2.65 billion already slashed from Harvard. Trump officials have accused the university of race-based admissions discrimination and failing to protect Jewish students.
Last week, the administration also moved to block Harvard from enrolling foreign students — a decision currently under judicial review.
