President Donald Trump warned that Iran would face bombing “at a much higher level” if Tehran refuses to accept a proposed peace agreement aimed at ending the two-month conflict between the two countries.
In a Truth Social post, Trump said “Operation Epic Fury,” the U.S. codename for the conflict, would end if Iran agrees to the terms under discussion. He added that the Strait of Hormuz would then reopen fully to global shipping traffic.

According to Axios, Washington expects Iran to respond within 48 hours to key elements of a proposed one-page framework. The report said the deal could include a temporary halt to Iran’s nuclear enrichment activities, sanctions relief from the U.S., and reduced restrictions on ship movements through the Strait of Hormuz.
A spokesperson for Iran’s foreign ministry told CNBC that Tehran is reviewing a 14-point proposal from Washington.
Markets reacted positively to the developments. Oil prices declined sharply while global stocks and bonds rallied on hopes of a diplomatic breakthrough.
