U.S. Rejects Venezuela’s Accusation Of Suspended Deportation Flights

Venezuela claimed Friday that the United States abruptly suspended deportation flights scheduled to arrive that same day, interrupting what Caracas described as a coordinated process to repatriate Venezuelan nationals detained in the U.S.

The country’s aviation authority accused Washington of acting unilaterally and said the pause undermined efforts to ease pressure on Venezuelan migrants held in the U.S.

U.S. officials rejected the allegation, telling CNN that deportation flights “will continue” and that no such suspension was ordered.

The disagreement comes amid heightened tensions between the Trump administration and Nicolás Maduro’s government, which has faced expanded U.S. sanctions and increased military pressure in recent months.

Caracas insists it remains willing to receive deportees despite the dispute. Washington has offered no further explanation for the conflicting claims, leaving uncertainty over the status of upcoming flights.
