The United Arab Emirates said its air defenses intercepted new missile and drone attacks launched from Iran, as tensions rise despite an ongoing ceasefire with the United States. The UAE Ministry of Defense said its forces were actively responding to aerial threats on Tuesday.
According to official statements, Iran had already fired 15 missiles at the UAE a day earlier, marking the first such strike since the ceasefire took effect in April. The report said the attacks caused a fire at the Fujairah industrial complex and injured at least three workers.

Iran also targeted commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, disabling at least one ship. The escalation comes as the U.S. advances its “Project Freedom” mission to secure shipping routes.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the ceasefire still holds but warned Washington remains ready to act if Iran escalates further.
