Its drone, developed with Ukrainian partner SkyFall, is resistant to electronic jamming and excludes Chinese components, meeting U.S. defense requirements. According to company officials, the design focuses on simplicity and effectiveness rather than complex engineering.
The competition reflects Washington’s push to rapidly scale drone capabilities under its Drone Dominance initiative. The report noted that drones now account for roughly 75% of casualties in the Russia-Ukraine war.
Skycutter has already secured contracts for over 2,500 units and plans to expand U.S. production, signaling growing Western demand for proven battlefield technology.
