The Pentagon has awarded Raytheon a $22.9 billion, seven-year contract to rapidly expand production of Tomahawk cruise missiles and replenish depleted U.S. stockpiles.
The agreement comes amid concerns over reduced supplies following the ongoing conflict with Iran.
Acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao said the contract would accelerate deliveries to U.S. forces.
The deal is part of a broader effort by the Trump administration to strengthen the defense supply chain.
Previous agreements have targeted increased production of Patriot, THAAD and AMRAAM missile systems as Washington seeks to rebuild precision-guided weapons inventories and improve military readiness.
