Iranian authorities have released footage purporting to show the launch of missiles and drones aimed at U.S. forces stationed at the King Hussein and Al-Azraq air bases in Jordan.
Tehran characterized the operation as a direct response to a U.S. strike against Iranian military positions on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz.
While Iranian state media claimed the barrage caused severe damage to key infrastructure, regional military authorities reported that defensive systems successfully intercepted most of the incoming projectiles.
