A Russian overnight drone strike targeted a residential neighborhood in Kharkiv's Osnovianskyi district, wounding five civilians—including a 4-year-old child—and sparking a massive blaze, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.
The late-night attack struck an apartment building and nearby structures, trapping residents inside and engulfing over 2,500 square meters in flames before emergency crews contained the fire.
Three victims were hospitalized as first responders navigated structural damage to clear the rubble.
Local authorities condemned the continued direct targeting of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine’s second-largest city, raising security alerts across the region.
