President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he plans to develop one of his private Florida golf courses into a dedicated presidential retreat.
Speaking about the proposal, Trump suggested the West Palm Beach property could serve as a modern alternative to Camp David, offering future commanders-in-chief a secure environment for relaxation and official business on the greens.
He argued that the location already features robust safety advantages. While framing the project as an asset for all future administrations, the concept immediately drew widespread attention regarding security logistics and the use of private commercial properties for official state functions.
