Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels announced Wednesday that they launched a major cross-border military strike against an international airport and key oil infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.

According to rebel officials, the Tuesday assault involved a barrage of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and combat drones. The escalation directly followed a targeted air raid by the Saudi-led military coalition against a fuel distribution facility in the rebel-controlled capital of Sanaa.

The retaliatory exchange marks a significant worsening in cross-border hostilities, raising immediate concerns over regional security and international energy stability.
