SpaceX has signed a major computing agreement with Reflection AI that could be worth as much as $6.3 billion through 2029, underscoring the growing importance of advanced computing infrastructure in the global artificial intelligence race.
Under the agreement, Reflection AI will gain access to high-performance Nvidia GB300 graphics processing units beginning July 1, 2026.
The startup is expected to make monthly payments of approximately $150 million for the computing capacity, providing SpaceX with a significant new revenue stream as it expands beyond its traditional aerospace and satellite businesses.
Musk has described the effort as a "gigafactory of compute," reflecting the growing demand for AI training and inference infrastructure.
Reflection AI has emerged as one of the most closely watched startups in the artificial intelligence sector. The company is focused on developing open-source AI models intended to compete with systems produced by major industry players such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
The agreement includes provisions allowing either party to terminate the arrangement after an initial period with advance notice, providing flexibility in a rapidly evolving market.
Industry analysts note that access to cutting-edge Nvidia chips remains one of the biggest constraints facing AI developers, making long-term computing agreements increasingly valuable.
