Mexican social media influencer Cesar Gastelum was shot and killed while livestreaming outside a fast food restaurant in Culiacán, according to the report.
Gastelum, who had nearly 600,000 followers on TikTok, was attacked on Tuesday in a city that has experienced persistent violence linked to organised crime.
The report said two individuals wearing helmets approached the influencer on a motorcycle during the livestream.
Video reviewed by Reuters reportedly showed the passenger opening fire before the attackers fled the scene. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the killing.
The incident has drawn comparisons to the 2025 killing of Mexican beauty influencer Valeria Márquez, who was also fatally shot during a TikTok livestream.
The report noted that authorities continue efforts to combat organised crime in the region, following the recent arrest of alleged cartel leader Ramón Ángel Álvarez Ayala, also known as "El R-1," in Jalisco.
