The Trump administration has formally classified networks such as Antifa among the country’s major terrorism threats under a newly released counterterrorism strategy.
According to the plan released Thursday, federal authorities will prioritize identifying and disrupting violent secular political groups described as “anti-American,” anarchist, and radically pro-transgender, alongside Islamist terror groups and drug cartels.
The Trump administration on Wednesday unveiled a national strategy to combat domestic terrorism, calling for more aggressive steps to crack down on left-wing violence, including antifa, and savage attacks prompted by transgender ideology. https://t.co/XYDwRO5549

The report said the administration intends to use all constitutionally available tools to investigate suspected networks, track membership, and examine possible international ties linked to organizations such as Antifa.
Trump administration officials have recently increased public warnings about left-wing extremism following several violent incidents, including attacks targeting immigration facilities and the killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
According to CNN, federal investigators have previously struggled to define the structure and size of Antifa-related groups. The FBI has described the situation as “fluid” while continuing active investigations tied to politically motivated violence.
