Federal authorities have arrested multiple individuals accused of discussing plans to attack the UFC Fight Night event held at the White House, according to CNN.

Investigators reportedly uncovered messages outlining potential attack scenarios involving drones carrying deadly payloads and a possible gunman targeting crowds.

According to CNN, the investigation was conducted jointly by the FBI and the Secret Service. FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the arrests, describing the operation as a multi-state effort involving suspects located across several federal districts.

The report said authorities have not disclosed how advanced the alleged plans were before law enforcement intervened. Charges against the suspects were expected to be unsealed following the arrests.

President Donald Trump, speaking at the G7 summit in France, said he had not been briefed on the matter when asked by reporters.

The UFC event drew roughly 100,000 attendees and was held as part of celebrations marking America’s 250th anniversary, coinciding with Trump’s 80th birthday. Security for the event involved multiple federal and local law enforcement agencies, reported by CNN.
