Iran claimed on Friday that recent U.S. airstrikes hit civilian infrastructure and announced retaliatory attacks against U.S. targets in Syria and Bahrain, signaling a wider regional escalation.
According to CNBC, the U.S. completed its sixth consecutive night of strikes, targeting dozens of Iranian military sites, including air defense systems, logistics facilities and maritime assets.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards also claimed to have struck a U.S. command center in Syria's al-Tanf region, while Bahrain, Jordan and Qatar reported intercepting Iranian aerial attacks.
President Donald Trump said the United States was "winning big" in Iran and reiterated pressure on Tehran to return to negotiations.
The report said oil prices surged, with Brent crude topping $85 a barrel, as fears of a prolonged regional conflict and supply disruptions intensified.
