Effective immediately, the entry-level Neo MacBook now costs $699, up from $599, while the base iPad has risen to $449 from $349. The iPad Mini, Apple TV, Vision Pro headset and HomePod speaker have also received price increases. However, iPhone and AirPods prices remain unchanged.

Apple said the global AI boom has sharply increased demand for memory and storage components, pushing costs to unprecedented levels. The report said the company had tried to absorb those higher expenses but could no longer avoid passing some of them on to consumers.

CEO Tim Cook had previously warned that price increases were becoming unavoidable because of the ongoing memory chip shortage. According to the report, even Apple's strong supply chain has been unable to shield it from rising semiconductor costs affecting the broader consumer electronics industry.
